How to give Access

piXelmart works on your accounts through each platform’s own invite or connect option. You stay the owner, you can remove access any time, and you never share a password.

Give access to piXelmart

  WordPress shows it once. Copy it straight into the form below.

  Do not share your normal WordPress administrator password. You can revoke this one in WordPress any time.

Shopify storeAdd piXelmart as staff with only the permissions the work needs.

  Open Develop apps in your Shopify admin
  Settings → Apps → Develop apps (top right). The address is admin.shopify.com/store/your-store/settings/apps/development. Then press Build apps in Dev Dashboard.

  In the Dev Dashboard: Apps → Create app → Create app manually
  dev.shopify.com - choose "Create app manually" (the Dev Dashboard form), not the Shopify CLI option.

  Fill in the app
  App name: piXelmart · Version name: 1.0 · App URL: https://thepixelmart.com. Leave Allowed redirection URL(s) empty and “Use legacy install flow” unticked.

  Scopes - paste this line exactly
  read_products,write_products,read_themes,write_themes,read_content,write_content
  Products · your store design (only a copy, see step 7) · pages (made hidden). Nothing else - piXelmart does not need your customers, orders or payments. Then press Create app, and Release if it asks.

  Install the app on your store
  On the app’s page press Install app, pick your store and approve the permissions shown.

  Copy the Client ID and Client secret
  Open the app → Settings. Copy both into the secure form below, with your store address (yourstore.myshopify.com). Never send your Shopify password.

  Duplicate your live theme
  Online Store → Themes → ⋯ beside your live theme → Duplicate. piXelmart edits only that copy and sends a preview; your shop changes only when it is published.

  Made an app before 2026?
  An older custom app still works: paste its Admin API access token (starts with shpat_) as the secret and leave Client ID empty. Add the six scopes to that app too.
